Over 20 years ago there was a television program that had kids glued to their sets. We knew it as He-man, and the Masters of the Universe. In that series was a menacing fortress, Castle Grayskull, located in a deserted wasteland. The Sorceress and Spirit of Grayskull resided there. It was also a refuge for He-Man and his friends. Castle Grayskull had been constructed to protect those that wanted to misuse an unspecified foundation of power. Regrettably, it was also frequently the site the bad guys would go for.
When you watched the program, you would basically see the exterior of the castle. Inside, on the other hand, were a number of areas of particular significance: The Throne Room, the Hall of He-Man, The Travel Corridor Chamber, a laboratory, a room the Sorceress used to study and try spells, as well as the Sorceress' bedroom. In one episode, an inner room was found where the Secrets of Castle Grayskull were kept. This particular room sports 2 doors. In between them sits the Guardian, one door is to the secrets, the second entry is merely devastation.
Not like most castles, Castle Grayskull sits surrounded by a bottomless abyss. The void is alleged to lead into the core of Eternia. The only way into or out of Castle Grayskull is by using the "Jawbridge", which is actually a drawbridge which is comprised of the lower jaw of the castle's "mouth".
As Prince Adam becomes He-Man with his sword, you'll notice sparks that shoot up from the abyss and drift to the sword. The only instance anybody had seen the cause of the sparks is when Teela fell into the void, and Prince Adam became He-Man to save her.
Within the castle are several magical doors. They are located in the Travel Corridor Chamber and are portals heading to numerous locations on Eternia, for example Snake Mountain and Etheria.
Mattel has made available a Castle Grayskull play set that is interactive using the Masters Of The Universe figures so He-Man and his friends can defend Eternia. It will identify the action figures, for instance if it is actually He-Man, the drawbridge is gonna open, but if it's Skelator or Trap-jaw, the skull lights up and they're going to plunge into the dungeon. The castle also has shooting missiles, a trap door, and a hidden chamber that stores the sword.
There are 3 floors to the castle. The lowest level is a prison. The middle level has the Power Sword hidden behind a panel, but it's only available to He-Man and his friends. If any of the "evil villains" tries to get to the Power Sword, a trap door will open up and they're going to drop into the prison. On the top level, you've got a hinged wall, so if there is a struggle, the wall can be pushed open, and the "bad guys" will get sent soaring off of the roof.
There's loads of action going on, and your daughter, children (or better-half) will have hours of entertainment and play-time playing with Castle Grayskull.
