Anti Snore Rings

An anti snore ring is a ring with two pressure balls (prongs) that is usually worn on the left hand (the hand being closest to the heart) and positioned between the knuckle and first joint. Anti snore rings are usually made of sterling silver, depending on the manufacturer. The two pressure balls apply acupressure to two pressure points on the underside of the finger. These pressure points are connected to the heart meridian channel, from the small finger to the ear, nose and throat. Such rings are usually adjustable, so as to fit any size of finger.

Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine dating back about 5,000 years. Traditional Chinese medicine states that pressure points can be effective in stimulating the median system by rebalancing opposing forces (yin and yang) and the energy flow (typically known as chi).

Anti Snore Rings

An anti snore ring’s purpose is to apply pressure on the small intestine and heart meridians, which are paired organs that act in conjunction with each other. This pressure clears the flow of energy, giving a calming effect to the heart. At the same time it improves breathing which helps in the prevention of snoring.

Whether anti snore rings really helps prevent snoring or not is another story. Manufacturers claim that some people may notice the reduced snoring as from day one, while for others it might take up to three days for the ring to start making effect. In fact some people report that wearing such a ring during sleep did really help reduce or eliminate their snoring. For some other people, wearing the ring has a placebo effect (thinking that your snoring condition is controllable thanks to the ring, when in fact it is not the case). Unfortunately other people state that wearing an anti snore ring does not help them in any way with their snoring problem.
